About nick's gelato™

Starting our wholesale gelato business during the financial crisis of 2008 may not have been a good idea, but hey, we’re still here! Our solid track record of superior service along with the best gelato and sorbetto in the country is the niche we’ve created. Our goal is to deliver or arrange delivery, to businesses in the western United States. Currently, we deliver gelato (Italian ice cream) and sorbetto (Italian sorbet) in Arizona and many other states that include Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

In the US, gelato is becoming a healthier and more attractive alternative to traditional ice cream. With nick’s gelato™, you get half the fat and calories along with fresh fruits and natural ingredients from around the world. We would also love to help you create a successful gelato business (or gelato add-on to your existing business) anywhere in the U.S. using our premium, wholesale Italian ice cream, supplies and cases.

Natural Ingredients

Because we use natural ingredients in our production process, we differentiate our gelato from most others suppliers who many times use artificial flavorings, mixes, gels, pastes and/or powders. Due to the pure nature of our product, our shelf life is longer than most competitors, whether frozen or displayed.

Roasted Pistachio Example

Nick’s Roasted Pistachio gelato is just that; roasted pistachio. There’s no fake green food coloring with an almond oil to fool you. Our Roasted Pistachio is made by running dark roasted pistachios through a nut mill and steeping the resulting pistachio base in artisan cream. As the roasted pistachio is being packed by the chef into tubs and pans, additional whole pistachios are folded into the gelato.

Shelf Life

The shelf life of our gelato is 12 or more months (some flavors as long as 18 months). After the gelato is made fresh, it’s cooled to about -20° F and readied for delivery. Storing your extra gelato cold around -10° F in a separate freezer will ensure freshness up to its shelf life. Moreover, your gelato will stay fresh and appealing in your display case for weeks at its normal serving temperature of about 5° F.
